Employee Spotlight - Aleksandra CRM Sports Coordinator

We are excited to shine this month's employee spotlight on Aleksandra Lipowska, our dynamic CRM Sports Coordinator in the Gibraltar office, who previously excelled as a Studio Live Streaming Supervisor in Malta.

What brought you to bet365 and what has your journey been like so far? 

 I was recommended to apply to bet365 by a friend working in the company. I just graduated from the university in Poland and I wanted to get some experience abroad. I also studied English for many years and I wanted to practice it in an English-speaking country. Joining bet365 was a great way to start my professional career. I started in Customer Service department. Then after few years I moved to Studio department, which was just moving to a brand new office in Malta and I had a chance to be relocated with the company. In Malta I spent four years in Live Streaming department, starting from Operator, reaching Supervisor position at the end. A year ago I decided to relocate to Gibraltar office and try my chances in Marketing field. I have been CRM Sports Coordinator since then.  

Can you share a memorable experience or project you've worked on here? 

 One of the memorable experience was reaching 5 years milestone and receiving an award for long term service. It was time to reflect on my journey in bet365, and what I have achieved so far. It gave me a big sense of satisfaction.  

What do you enjoy most about working at bet365? 

 I enjoy the opportunities the company presents for those who want to take them. I was able to move between the offices all over Europe and between different departments. On each of the stages I could learn some part of the igaming world, gain new professional skills and meet inspiring people.  

How has your role evolved since you started? 

 The team grew and expanded to new markets. The environment is fast-paced, changing and adapting to new trends, so I had to learn new processes, new tools and software, expanding my knowledge in CRM area.  

What is the most challenging part of your role? 

 As the name indicates, as a CRM Coordinator I have to coordinate, provide or get information about our marketing communication and campaigns between few departments. This requires a lot of organization and communication skills, so we can run our campaigns smoothly. Also challenging part is to plan the campaigns that will be engaging for our customers and attract the new ones. 

What are some of the challenges and benefits of working in Gibraltar while residing in Spain or crossing the border regularly? 

 The benefits are that I can work in a multicultural environment and I can enjoy the best of both countries – restaurants, shops, cultural events, entertainment. The currency exchange is beneficial for us, living in Spain is definitely more affordable than living in Gibraltar. Crossing the border every day is not a hassle usually, it does not take me much time, however, there can be unexpected situations, like sudden changes of border controls, which create unusual queues, which I cannot predict or control.   

What advice would you give to new employees or those considering joining our team? 

 Have your eyes open, intent to learn from those around you, show motivation and ambition to grow and then for sure the doors will open and opportunities arise.
