This weekend will see the release of the most personal story yet. The amazing Ariel Wynn opens up about the trauma she faced growing up, the resillience she's shown and how to find your own happiness.

What have we been up to?

I started the week with some familiar faces: Sarah Black-Smith , Eleanor Baker & Neo Chatyoka - Where I hosted a webinar discussing Women in Manufacturing. Huge thankyou to Cassandra Campbell for organising it as part of the Northamptonshire Manufacturing Week!

This week was of course the PPMA Show by Automate UK , our new partners!

A huuuuge thank you to Charlie Allen for having me on the Automate BEST stand for 2 days. Although I spent more time "flirting" with people on their stands. Her words, not mine.

I did get chance to meet some amazing young people on the BEST stand, if we can find more young people like them to get into manufacturing, our future is in safe hands.

While I was there I got to meet a few people, in person for the first time, like Richard Patch , Daniel Bull , Robert Gaines , Tim Paul , Shaun Cross and Wayne Corp .

Turns out me and Rich have similar aspirations for bringing the industry to the 21st century! If you've not come across his site yet, check it out > www.manufacturershub.co.uk

We'll be partnering to bring broader search results to the EI app, like service providers within the Manufacturers Hub site. Engineers in the MH site will be shown our App to find the products and technical info like manuals and CAD files.

I spoke to Wayne about the skills gap, working with education and how I struggle to find engagement from industry at times. Turns out 30% of the Omron UK workforce are STEM ambassadors!

I caught up with Stuart Coulton from Omron Industrial Automation Europe to finalise a new partnership! I'll officially announce on LinkedIn over the next couple of weeks but for those of you reading this, you're in the know.

As well as the usual suspects hovering around the free coffee like Nathaniel Hofmann , Steve Banton , Martin Kidman, Ph.D. and Oliver Selby ! 😉😂

And I got treated to late night hospitality from the Catalyx guys - Phil Dearnaley , Carl Wilson , Bob Herman & George O'Kelly ! Although as a sober driver, I took a back seat and watched as the red wine and G&T's corrupted my old mate Phil 😂😂

Yesterday I was back at The MTC, with partner in crime Chris Rooum . Really excited about this partnership. We will change the way industry finds, buys and consumes training content.

I know it was a bug bear of my old customers - "How do I book a training course?", "I can't find it in your website", "HR are moaning about having to book through multiple websites".

In the afternoon I joined the new Industry Skills Board run by Louise Ball at BPP and chaired by Mr Siemens himself - Prof Alan Norbury CEng FIET FIKE . How can we inspire more young people to be engineers? How do we engage with Government and Skills England to change apprenticeships?

Mike Wilson gave us an update on the UK robotics market and how we need to adopt robots quicker if we're going to become more productive and stay in touching distance of the top manufacturing countries.

I finally met the amazing Hannah Katie Linden in person!

Also managed to catch up with a few industry friends while we were there - Sam Baynham , David Bartell & Leigh Howarth .

Another Podcast episode released this week! This time with Niall Sullivan from Senseye - A Siemens business , on his "Trend Detection Podcast". I talked about the inception of EI, building communities, how we built a continuous feedback loop and what our plans are for the future.
