Esports Dynamics: Inside Team Queso and BELOBABA's Alliance

BELOBABA has been involved in the esports industry alongside Team Queso for over two years. In this article, we review the main milestones achieved by this collaboration so far this year and look ahead to what we can expect in the short term, focusing on the development of the sports project and the creation of content for social media.

BELOBABA's role as the principal investor in Team Queso has been crucial in reaching these objectives and achieving the outstanding results seen in this period.

Sports Project 2024

Team Queso’s current sports strategy revolves around returning to our initial focus on mobile games and shifting our regional focus to Latin America, an emerging market for the esports industry and a significant part of our fan base. Following this strategy, we currently have three teams whose players reside in various Latin American countries.

  1. PUBG Mobile: Esports Partnership Program: We have continued developing our PUBG Mobile division, which we have been working on for over five years. In the early months of 2024, we secured a spot in the PUBG Mobile Esports Partnership Program developed by Tencent. This positions us as one of the top teams in the Americas in terms of structure, community, and performance. This achievement allows us to participate in Tier 1 regional and global tournaments with the highest levels of viewership, giving greater exposure to Team Queso and our commercial partners like BELOBABA worldwide. In the first part of the year, we were crowned as the best Latin American team.
  2. Brawl Stars: Relocation to South America: We decided to move our Brawl Stars team from Europe to South America, hiring a young, Spanish-speaking roster with great potential and high engagement in the region. Through this team, we are participating in all monthly qualifications for this year's in-person world finals and secured a spot in All Stars Latam, the first in-person Brawl Stars tournament held in São Paulo, Brazil, sponsored by Supercell and the region’s top content creators.
  3. Clash of Clans: Return to Clash of Clans: Our most exciting project for 2024 is returning to Clash of Clans, a mobile game by Supercell with a broad structure of professional players and content creators who add value to the scene. We currently have a Latin American team representing different countries in the region, competing monthly in the world championship qualifiers (to be held in the second half of the year) with excellent results, consistently ranking in the top 10 teams worldwide.

Our vision of being the best mobile gaming esports organization remains strong, and maximizing our efforts would not be possible without the support of commercial partners like BELOBABA. Ensuring the best conditions for our players is one of the main challenges any esports team faces, and the financial backing from our investors is essential to meet this goal.

Content Creation and New Platforms

Our expertise in content creation has enabled us to collaborate on launching various games during the first half of the year, amplifying their audience reach through our network of content creators.

  1. Heroes of Mavia: Web3 Mobile Game Launch: One of the projects we worked on was the launch of Heroes of Mavia, a Web3 mobile game, through an organic content campaign developed by our network of influencers and players. We achieved over 800,000 views and published the content in Spanish, garnering the highest impressions on content platforms. This success was made possible by our years of experience in mobile gaming and our knowledge of the Web3 industry, in which BELOBABA has been a partner for over two years.
  2. PUBG MOBILE Super League of Americas: TikTok Campaign: As part of our participation in Tencent’s Partnership Program, we ran a significant TikTok campaign for the first edition of the PUBG MOBILE Super League of Americas, the official PUBG MOBILE circuit in which we participated and placed 7th (best Latin American team). Our initial goal was to achieve a minimum of 100,000 views in less than a month, with the challenge of engaging an audience not accustomed to TikTok. We diversified content through collaborations with two leading content creators in Latin America and our players generating social media content. The result was over 500,000 views, making us the team with the highest content impact in the region during the tournament.

Understanding audience language, platform mechanics, and identifying which profiles in our network of content creators can add value to a campaign are the main pillars that position us as experts in content creation and have allowed us to work with major brands throughout our trajectory.

Upcoming Challenges 2024

Our primary sports objective this year is to participate and achieve top placements in the upcoming world mobile tournaments we are striving to qualify for with our teams. We aim to continue our legacy of being the best mobile team, recognized worldwide, with a dedicated fan base from different parts of the globe.

Alongside our sports project, we will continue to foster the growth and strengthening of our fan community through social media content development, both on our platforms and in collaboration with brands like BELOBABA that trust our project and whose support enables better development of our activities.
