The Ethics and Energetics of Organic Selling

The Ethics and Energetics of Organic Selling

Whether you like it or not, things are changing in the online space, my friends, and let me explain what’s going on.

In case you didn’t notice, there were some major events happening in the last couple of years worldwide…

…and it would be really dumb to assume it didn’t affect the way we buy, sell, do lead generation, and show up in the online space.

Just had an awesome convo about that with my friend Jean-Paul Pangalos, the creator of the Mindset Factors Index - and I wanted to share some key points.

Before COVID, we were in the growth phase.

The whole world was more or less in it - you could see by the way we were spending and investing.

The crypto and stock world was in a “bull run” and money was available for whatever you wanted to do with it.

In that world, FOMO was the driver for sales because the human need for growth was at its peak.

Profit and revenue-based marketing and sales did well.

“Dreams” were easy to sell (“you're just one funnel away”.)

People in the online space were making piles of money with little effort (“I lived in a basement and six months later I hit 7-figures.”)

The world was designed for that hype and it sold well.

Results sold. Stripe accounts sold.

You could sell snow to an Eskimo.

And then - Covid hit.

We got locked up for two years.

Couples uncoupled.

Families were torn.

People lost their businesses.

We didn’t feel it because everyone shifted online.

Seemed like another “bull run” for us.

But this is what really happened.

People shifted their perspective and primary needs that needed to be met.

From the need for growth, we shifted to a need for a connection.

Just remember how it felt when you could grab that first coffee with your BFF in a local coffee after two years or go to a concert.

There wasn’t any amount of money that could replace that feeling.

This is the thing.

Most of you don’t understand basic human psychology, so you keep doing what worked 3-4 years ago.

On LinkedIn, on FB, Instagram - basically on any social media.

You sell FOMO when people want connection.

The need for connection is a PRIMARY human need.

Then, war and recession hit (we still are not in full-blown recession but it’s coming.)

The need for safety kicked in (also one of the primary human needs.)

And this is where we all currently are - looking for ways to get our primary needs met - the need for safety and the need for a connection.

And people are investing from that space, not from the space of needing to grow.

No one wants to grow when they can’t put food on the table, pay their bills and their dollar is worth less and less.

No one wants to grow when they feel disconnected and alone.

Why am I telling you all of this?

Because a new era of how we sell and do business has come, and a lot of you are walking around with blinders on.

Yes, that funnel might still work, but it won’t for long.

Yes, your revenue and profit-driven marketing are still selling, but not for long.

This is not a question of one person or a “niche”, this is an 8 billion herd mentality and you are delusional if you think people will care about your two-comma club award.

The more you disconnect from yourself or your audience, the more you sell from a place of making money vs creating wellbeing…

…you’ll see that you have to work SO MUCH harder for your buck.

And you know what I’m talking about because it’s getting harder and harder to sell and fill your programs.

That’s the truth.

And the more you turn your head away from the fact that this change is here and staying - the harder it’s going to get to sell and grow your businesses.

The only way out of this is to go within and start working on the connection.

Starting to create a connection to yourself.

A deep, intimate connection so you can understand who YOU are.

Then, when you do that, go DEEP to understand what your audience needs.

Then, deeply connecting with them and selling from a place and with an intention of building more connection and wellbeing in their lives vs just making them money.

Don't get me wrong, money is awesome, but it can’t buy you a person that will TRULY see and understand you.

Do you see where we are inevitably going?

Don’t shoot the messenger.

If you want to explore this new world of selling and being, join me in my new FB group called "The Ethics and Energetics of Organic Selling."

(Includes selling on ALL social Media networks, LinkedIn included.)

Some really amazing, smart people are in there (including me ) and we want to show you a new perspective on how to sell.

And create more well-being for everyone as we step into this new, brave world.

Brilliantly said!!! People are so hungry for connection but many lack the emotional skills to feel safe without a fear of rejection. Clearing the lower 3 chakras is a hot topic right now for the wellness industry. 1. Safety (tribe/community for the herd mentality 🙏😉) 2. Intimacy (self 1st then others) 3. Identity (who you are without old conditioned programming) 😄 Love your work Mirna!!

People are starting to become aware of how they are feeling inside and are starting to put labels, meaning and sense to it. Exciting times!
