EU-Taiwan Briefing (November 2024)
Dear friends,
Welcome to the second issue of the EU-Taiwan Briefing. Each month, we'll bring you the key highlights from the EU-Taiwan Tracker, our comprehensive resource on relations between Taiwan and the EU. In this newsletter, we'll provide you with a regular update on the frequency of interactions and spotlight the countries that have seen the most engagement with Taiwan. We’ll also highlight the top events shaping EU-Taiwan relations, as well as the PRC’s responses to these developments. Lastly, we'll feature CEIAS’s latest analyses on Taiwan.
This month focuses on Taiwan's ongoing humanitarian and financial aid to Ukraine, the establishment of Taiwan's drone cooperation with Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland, the visit of Taiwan's Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung and his 59-member delegation to Belgium and CEE, and a workshop on cyber security, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies held by Taiwan and France in Taipei.

"Since Taiwan is deepening cooperation over drone technology with Lithuania and Poland, two front-line countries that have nuanced and realistic views of the threats coming from Russia, this development can help improve the defense capabilities in Central and Eastern Europe," says CEIAS Executive Director Matej Šimalčík for Voice of America.
