Export contract with German Company ThyssenKrupp

Yulchon a manufacturing company of cold drawn steel pipes in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 16th that it will enter into overseas markets by signing an export contract with ThyssenKrupp, a Global steel company in Germany. A local plant is also operating in Mexico. CEO Lee Heung-hae said, "If the delivery of the $8 million of US Dollars export contract signed with ThyssenKrupp in August 2020 begins in earnest starting next month, this year's sales will increase by about 10 billion won."

Drawn steel pipes are pipes used in automobiles and construction machinery, and can be molded or passed through rollers to produce and manufacture pipes according to the needs of users, such as the length and thickness of the pipe. Typical examples are pipes for quick-up shock absorbers and pipes for steering devices that alleviate the impact of automobile wheels.

The company possesses the technology to precisely produce 100 kinds of products of various sizes ranging from small to large diameters, such as pipe thickness 1~9mm and pipe hole diameter 10~120mm. Since its founding in 1986, it is a leading company in the steel pipe industry that has walked a single path in steel pipe manufacturing. The company established a company-affiliated research institute in May 2010 to develop a marking device for pipe welds and a pipe pulling device technology for both marking. There are also 15 patents related to pipe manufacturing.
