Before I discuss potential solutions for getting a facebook ad account disabled, it’s important to check if you’re taking advantage of Omnichannel marketing.
Up ahead, is the difference between omnichannel and multichannel marketing, and where this intersects with getting a facebook ad account disabled
What Is Omnichannel Marketing? Expert Tips Included
The words “omnichannel marketing” and “multichannel marketing” are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing.
In multichannel marketing, you have several channels that operate independently of each other.
Think of it like fishing with multiple rods: you cast lines in different spots (channels) hoping to catch fish (customers).
With an omnichannel marketing strategy, all channels are interconnected to provide a cohesive customer experience.
It’s like a fishing net, with all your channels (website, social media, in-store, etc.) working together toward the same goal.
A Forrester study found that an omnichannel approach has multiple benefits, including:
Research from Capital One shows that 73 percent of shoppers are omnichannel buyers.
A great example of this strategy in action is Target. It added Pinterest’s Lens to its app so smartphone users can take pictures of images that catch their eye, and the Target app then offers a similar item for them to buy.
Key Takeaways
Now, let’s say you’re a smart marketer and have optimized your brand’s channels across multiple platforms and have used Many Chat to get text and email opt-ins as well as FB pixel data for retargeting these same consumers.
And you get ONE thing wrong in your Facebook marketing funnel.
Then your entire Omnichannel gets banned.
Not good.
You need to make sure you are safe from Facebook ad bans before implementing neat stuff like Chatbot marketing.
And, if you can, you do want to integrate Many Chat as a chatbot for your funnel.
Here’s a picture of me with the founder of Many Chat when we discussed Facebook and the Conversations Conference in Austin, Texas:
Why was your Facebook ad account disabled?
What to try if you struggle with identifying WHY you were flagged
I think one of the most frustrating aspects of dealing with a disabled Facebook ad account is the lack of transparency from Facebook – ironic that Meta calls their facebook ad policies pages the “transparency center.”
You can get your Facebook ad account disabled from crossing a threshold of smaller flags adding up to a ban-level amount. But, if you accidentally use the wrong wording, you can also get misflagged as a special ad category even if you are not in real estate or employment.
Facebook ad account disabled: The Truth About Ad Support
Now, what is also confusing, is that Facebook ad support is ALSO guessing at how to solve your Facebook ad policy issues – these are not the decision makers, just gatekeepers.
They have no clue what to say or do, and are paid by the hour to get AS MANY calls as possible. Uh…what was that you said about Quality Control? Meantime, you’re typing fast into the chat box, screaming, “Help! I have a Facebook ad account disabled!”
But, if have not correctly identified the flag, then you won’t say the right things to Facebook ad support, that will trigger them to use their limited tools to help.
Want to stop guessing and get actual answers and a path to get ads live again?
As Liana Lang, CEO of Power Up Strategy Inc. said, “Please meet Trevor, my ‘secret weapon’ for all things Facebook compliance. I highly recommend hiring him to help you out especially if you plan to be running ads.”

Immediate Steps to Take after hit with a Facebook ad account disabled
The immediate steps to take after getting hit with a Facebook ad account disabled, is to first, stop what you’re doing. Don’t try to edit the ad immediately – it’s a mistake born out of panic most people make.
Are you guilty by association?
The 2nd thing to do is make sure there are not any bad actors in your Facebook Business Manager who are dealing with Facebook issues ELSEWHERE. And of course make sure you haven’t been hacked.
Contacting the Facebook support team
Nowadays, Facebook is using AI to stop you from reaching a human (typical bloated corporation move to reduce the need to hire real people).
You have to know what the problem is and explain it to these sweat shop workers you are chatting with, to have a chance to use their limited tools to appeal the issue.
Facebook ad account disabled:Submitting an Appeal to Facebook
So, once you have confirmed you have a Facebook ad account disabled, you’ll want to devise a strategy to appeal the ban. That strategy, by the way, doesn’t mean cursing out Facebook ad support.
Or just hitting the appeal button as fast as possible. Or not using ANY strategy when appealing, then several weeks later feeling like:
You essentially have 2 main strategies for a successful appeal:
telling Facebook ad support WHY you got shut down, and
2. Making them, through specific language, use what limited tools they have, to submit an appeal for you.
Conclusion: Navigating through Facebook ad complications
Most websites by marketers are guessing on what to do.
I’ve worked at Apple, Apple, Microsoft and Facebook. Articles like this, are generic and unhelpful. Outsiders guessing at how to solve a FB ban should not be who you trust to save your ass.
Go with people who actually have industry experience.
How I turned things around for an ad agency stuck in Facebook jail
When Jack Randall of SocialFlight, Inc. contacted me, he didn’t know what to do.
Facebook went silent, and Jack didn’t know how severe his Facebook ban was. Meta wouldn’t tell Jack if he had a chance of recovery or what to do to get his ads live again.
Or the timeframe for getting this fixed. Luckily, Jack found me, and I helped him uncover why he was banned, and took the appropriate steps to get his funnel compliant and his Facebook ads running again.
