FiberExpress Linkedin Edition #13

The last month brought more exciting events! Check out what was happening in June! 👇

In June we participated in the Orange Forum for Operators! 🎉

Thank you for so many meetings and substantive discussions 🤝

We are glad that Fryderyk Kalamon's lecture "Can a fiber optic network be a gold mine" aroused so much interest. We shared our knowledge on how to build today so that you can reap more profits from your network in the future.

If you don't believe it's possible and haven't had a chance to attend our lecture - contact us. We will be glad to show you how to do it!

#FCAteam also had the pleasure of attending Infinera's EMEA partner meeting in Istanbul.

➡ More than that, our partner decided to award us in the “EMEA Go-to-Market Excellence” category for our out-of-the-box and innovative approach to market creation. The Tour de FCA that we organized stood out from the activities of other partners in 2023 🚴♂️

🎉 We are proud that our activities and proactive approach to business are being recognized. We look forward to another year full of joint activities with a Partner like Infinera 🔜

Thank you!

This month you may have seen the first posts in the "Product matters" series ✨

Here are a few words about DAC cable 📌

👉 DAC (Direct Access Cable) cable is an outdoor optical access cable designed for direct burial in the ground. It stands out for its excellent mechanical properties and is often used for subscriber connections.

❗ Although it is mainly installed in the ground, it has also gained UV resistance thanks to doping of the outer sheath. This means that it can be used in outdoor installations exposed to direct weathering, such as cable stock racks.

✅ The most important feature of DAC cable, from the point of view of efficiency and speed of installation, is the ease of removing its outer sheath, the so-called "peeling" of the cable. This is particularly important during installation work at FTTH network distribution points, where several to even dozens are inserted. Seamless peeling of the sheath makes the installation process much easier and faster.

FCA's DAC cables are designed with the highest quality and reliability in mind. We make sure that our products are functional and durable, meeting all the expectations of our customers 🌟

Great news! 🎉

An Alpha 565 machine from Swiss company Komax is already in operation on our wire harness production line 🤝

It allows automatic cutting, stripping, double-sided crimping, tinning and twisting of wires, while verifying the correctness of crimping.

Thanks to this innovative technology, we will be able to manufacture wire harnesses for you even more efficiently, ensuring repeatability and the highest quality ✔️

🔗 Optimizing processes 🔗

Control cabinets are used wherever automatic command and control systems are in operation. They enable components to be organized and protect them from mechanical damage and adverse weather conditions. In addition, they protect control systems from unauthorized access. They are a kind of command center in today's reality 🛡

The installation of control cabinets can sometimes be a lengthy and tedious task due to the number of components included in its construction - these include various types of controllers, panels, fuses, power supplies, sensors and, above all, cables that connect this "ecosystem" ⚙

In such a case, in order to facilitate the installation of the cabinet at our customer's site, FCA prepares professionally crimped and addressed wires according to the provided specifications.

Thanks to this organization, the installation worker focuses on the proper plugging of the components into the device, instead of spending time manually crimping the wire harnesses ⏱

We recently shared with you the news that Rohde & Schwarz is joining us as a partner 🚀

Today we present the result of our cooperation 🤝

❗ From now on, FCA offers dedicated R&S network encryptors. These are specialized devices that protect data from interception during its transmission over the network 🔒

One of the main advantages of dedicated Rohde & Schwarz encryptors is the separation of network functions from security functions. An attack and seizure of access over a network device does not compromise security in any way, since separate, dedicated devices perform encryption functions.

What's more, encryptors in the form of a separate device make it easier to draw the line of demarcation for the responsibility of the network team and the cybersecurity team in a single organization 🔗

These devices also provide superior stable performance, thanks to dedicated resources for encryption.

It is also worth mentioning that Rohde & Schwarz encryptors have a secure enclosure that prevents physical access to the device's memory. This is because any attempt to mechanically violate the casing ends up clearing the memory 🛡
