FINANCIAL IMPACT REPORT: How the Pandemic Is Affecting Christ-Centered Churches and Nonprofits
Yesterday ECFA released a new research report that might interest you. It’s titled: “Remarkable Resiliency.” Based on 1,292 survey responses, it gives answers to questions like:
• What’s the financial outlook going into 2021 for Christ-centered churches and ministries?
• How did 2020 end financially for Christ-centered churches and ministries in terms of cash giving? In terms of other revenue?
• How did churches and ministries adjust their expenses in 2020, and how do they anticipate doing so going forward?
It’s a quick skim – each page is a new table. A clear headline at the top of each page gives you the gist. Yesterday ECFA President Michael Martin and I did a webinar to talk through the report (the webinar will be available for free replay starting later today under the title “5 Predictions about Charitable Giving in 2021” at ECFA.org/events, “webinars on demand”). ECFA, by the way, stands for the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
“Remarkable Resiliency” is a free download at ECFA.org/surveys, where you’ll find our other recent research reports, including “The Changing Reality of America’s Largest Churches” (previously named “Megachurch 2020”).
