Fluctuat nec mergitur
I am not used to using social networks and even less Linkedin to share my personal thoughts and feelings.
But the atrocities committed by Hamas which have taken place in Israel since Saturday morning transcend the usual restraint and modesty, and concern absolutely each of you, wherever you live.
My testimony, between two Hamas missile attacks on the town my family lives (civilian target only there too) will not be very long; it will not be political; and it will be simple:
For those who have not yet understood, Saturday was the worst day since the Shoah when so many civilian Jews: men, children, women, adolescents, old people were, killed, beheaded, raped or burned alive . Nearly 1000 so far.
For those who have not understood the scale: it is proportionally 10x the number of victims of the 9/11 attacks in New York, 20x the number of victims of the Bataclan attacks in France. The attack on Pearl Harbor is not even a possible comparison, Japaneses only selected military targets.
Beyond the victims and the injured (more than 2,600), the Hamas barbarians kidnapped more than 150 civilians (including many children, women and even old people) in order to use them as human shields on missile launch base sites.
I don't even want to detailed the exhibitions of these hostages like hunting trophies nor the abuses filmed by the terrorists, so despicable that you can’t stop yourself to vomit. As if that was not enough, today, 40 murdered babies were discovered in a kibbutz, some of whom were decapitated.
Even though Jews were targeted (I don't say Israelis because Hamas itself always claims their targets were Jews and not Israelis), Muslim Bedouins and Thai and Nepalese workers were executed in cold blood. ; and we mourn them in the same way.
Israel was very poorly prepared for this premeditated, calculated attack, planned for many months with the help of Iran. By excess of trust or by negligence, we will draw the appropriate consequences after the war, internally.
But today, despite the sadness and anger, we have no choice but to raise our head and overcome this ordeal. And that starts with definitively winning this new war. Our children, literally, and God knows that I am proud of them, are at the forefront of this fight and it is necessary that all of us, citizens of all countries who cherish freedom and democracy give them the means and support to succeed in this mission as quickly as possible.
The humanist values to which I adhere are beautiful and just, but they should not make us forget that there continues to exist in our world a Good and an Evil, an absolute, barbaric Evil, to which there are no attenuating circumstances and that it is necessary to destroy so that the Good continues to spread.
The blindness, conscious in some or naive in others, of knowing how to define, name and condemn Absolute Evil, here the hamas and the Islamic Jihad, reminds us neither more nor less of the worst hours of collaboration during the Second World War; a real pact with the devil.
I have absolutely nothing against our Palestinian neighbors per se, I invite them when I have the opportunity to share a meal, a coffee, a sandwich; I started learning Arabic in order to communicate better with them in their language. We have seen that peace, even cold, with our yesteryear enemies, is possible ,and peace agreements with Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and soon I hopes with Saudi Arabia, bear witness to this.
However, Hamas does not aspire to peace, it does not even aspire to the well-being of the Palestinians, it just wants, in the tradition of the Muslim brotherhood, the destruction of the infidels and Israel is on the front line. And they proclaim it night and day but we do not listen, too preoccupied with blindly believing in peace with a neighboring people who do not want it. The Palestinians of Gaza have lived “Judenrein” since 2005, there have been absolutely no Jews or Israelis for almost 20 years in the Gaza Strip; They could have since founded and developed an autonomy or even a mini-state but they chose Hamas to govern them and Hamas has only one objective: the destruction of Israel and its inhabitants.
In line with the Arab Spring, the Palestinians of Gaza could have long ago overthrown their corrupt, belligerent government, whose leaders are enriching themselves in Qatar day after day; but by lack of courage or lack of vision, they have finally accepted to pay a lifetime rent to the one who kills Jews, they decided to distribute candies in the streets after each terror attack. There is no possible discussion with these people. Today is war, and even if it is sad to say, the inhabitants of Gaza who will suffer in this new and I hope last war will have to turn to their barbaric and bloodthirsty leaders if they become collateral victims, because Israel cannot afford to show any sign of weakness after this declaration of war. Israel will terminate the hamas threat, once and for all. With God’s help and the determination of a whole united people, Israel will put an end to this threat very soon, our soldiers will return home safely and the population of southern Israel will then be able to heal their wounds, return to their house and make the desert bloom again.
