Follow Your Core Values

Our core values come from many influences. They include the influence our parents have with seminal seeds when showing us through deeds, the value of hard work, compassion, and humility.

My core values include hard work, compassion, and humility. They have served me well; they have not failed me.

•   Core values provide a foundation for passion.

•   Passion drives purpose.

•   Passion with purpose generates outcomes.

•   Outcomes include personal and professional goals with short and long-term traction.

•   Use passion and purpose to generate outcomes for yourself and others. Don’t obsess with discrete dates, focus on the outcomes over time.

When in doubt: “Pause in chaos, go back to your core values and repattern yourself” (McDowell, Williams, & Kautz; 2013).

One of the secrets to impacting lives is illuminating the foundation of passion through core values, how passion drives purpose, and how purpose drives outcomes.
