A footprint of hope and light
Ladies and gentlemen,
I haven´t been promoted, my company hasn´t passed 1 billion dollars profit… I haven´t bought a new car either… nothing like that…
Today, my topic is LinkedIn. In June 2020, LinkedIn launched a training programme which consists of ten on-line courses aligned with the jobs that are in demand. These courses are available for everyone for free. I am going to repeat, 10 on-line courses on the jobs that are in demand, with no costs!
These courses are not just good, they are fantastic! The instructors are all good. They are experts in their fields, so they know very well what they are teaching about it. Moreover, they have excellent communication skills, the contents are delivered in a simple, concise and concrete manner. These learning paths are accessible to anyone.
Now, let´s dream… imagine a young boy living in a poor neighbourhood, he doesn´t have money to study, however he believes in himself. He takes the course “Become a Software Developer” (it is one of the courses from the training programme). He finishes it, he gets a job.
He receives his first salary, he buys proper food for his family, with second salary he buys a heater to warm his home, meanwhile his mother gets sick and he pays for the medicine. This young men will be god in hell.
Politicians, policymakers, governors, decision makers, business people should learn with LinkedIn. It is not sufficient to have a good idea, or make a programme just for the sake of it, you have to believe in effective and good results.
For those who live in bureaucratic societies, to have some kind of training, an unemployed has to fill several application forms and often, there is a waiting list. To receive a certificate of attendance, it takes ages!
In this LinkedIn program, with just one click, you have ten courses at your disposal aligned with the jobs in demand, and when you finish the course, you really feel that you have skills to sell. To get a certificate of attendance you just press the button and you receive it in 5 seconds!
I am not expecting anything from LinkedIn, to begin with LinkedIn does not want anything from me, however it is just fair to applaud LinkedIn for this initiative.
In this miserable world, this initiative leaves a footprint of hope and light …
