Spillemyndigheden reveals 3.4% decrease in Danish May GGR

The Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden, has published gambling results in Denmark for May 2024. Gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached DKK 571m ($81.94m) during the month of May, though this represented a decrease of 3.4% year-on-year, with online casino dominating the figure at DKK 278m. Looking at some of the other segments, betting was the next-largest figure at DKK 164m, though this was a drop-off of 21.5%, while gaming machines followed at DKK 96m, a decrease from the DKK 98m it recorded in the same period last year. Read the full story here.

NIGC reports $41.9bn in FY23 gross gaming revenue

The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) has reported a gross gaming revenue (GGR) of $41.9bn for the fiscal year 2023. This figure represents a 2.4% increase from the FY22 GGR result. The announcement was made by Chairwoman Sharon M Avery and Vice Chair Jeannie Hovland at the Wisconsin Gaming Regulators Association Summer Conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The 2023 revenue data indicates that all eight NIGC regions saw growth compared to the previous fiscal year. Read the full story here.

Betsson secures gaming licences in Peru

Betsson AB has successfully obtained its first local gaming licences for the newly regulated market in Peru.
