Glaston’s new ProL SPEED: Fastest laminating line for mixed glass production

Sets New Standards In Laminating Efficiency, Combines Automation With Advanced Heating Tech

The ProL SPEED revolutionizes laminating with precise, automated controls, rapid changeovers and energy-efficient performance.

The newly launched Glaston Corporation ProL SPEED version takes laminating efficiency to unprecedented levels. Lightning-fast, precise movements powered by the highest automation and advanced heating technology significantly boost output in any production scenario, making ProL SPEED the top choice for glass processors.

Glaston ProL SPEED technology has been meticulously engineered to deliver the highest and smoothest output flow, even in mixed production environments. Each part of the line is designed for speed and efficiency, with easy changeovers and superior ease of use. ProL SPEED consistently delivers high-quality output with maximum yield, while also cutting energy consumption in half compared to traditional technologies.

Managing various glass sizes, shapes, and thicknesses is streamlined with ProL SPEED. The line’s ProL convection heating technology allows virtually zero changeover time between glass types, ensuring high productivity in mixed production scenarios. Full convection technology guarantees optimal stability and temperature uniformity across the heating chamber.

ProL SPEED’s new Convection Control technology, developed specifically to increase production capability with structural and high-strength laminates, elevates productivity with complex laminates. For instance, output and yield see significant boosts when processing multilayer SentryGlas® laminates.

In automatic operation, glass assembly is fully managed by precise, fast servo-controlled conveyors and a glass lifter. Optional features, such as automatic foil placement and trimming, further enhance productivity and reduce manual labour. For even greater capacity in small glass production, operators can easily switch to continuous mode as needed.

“Our aim with laminating technology is to help glass processors achieve higher capacity and yield while simplifying production for operators. System control is fully automatic, requiring no special knowledge from operators to handle unique cases or manually adjust parameters,” Kalle Kaijanen, Product Manager at Glaston, explained.
