PRESS RELEASE, MARCH 14, 2020

Dear Friends,

As of March 2020, the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, and the virus has spread to many countries and territories.

The health and well being of our stakeholders, members, staff and boxing communities are our highest priority. As a preventive measure, the WABA staff will be working remotely through April 3. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed of any changes to our plans.

As the coronavirus continues to impact our global communities, we are committed to supporting our international boxing community to collaborate and learn together to make a difference in the world. Now more than ever, it is important to focus on our shared purpose of improving the quality of life on our planet.

We will be communicating with you and see how we would be able to join hands to combat this dreadful illness as it storm the world. Let’s stay connected and inform each other about this experience in a meaningful way.

In the coming days, we will share information on our involvement to combat (COVID-19) and in learning more about how WABA project to reach part of our global plans. And please watch for the details on our WABA Facebook page.

Thank you for being a part of global WABA community – we are truly all in this together,

Sincerely yours,
