Global Fire Door market is expected to grow with 5.39% CAGR by 2024-29.

Fire doors are essential components of fire safety systems in buildings, designed to reduce the spread of fire and smoke between separate areas during a fire incident. They are made from a range of materials, including timber, steel, and aluminum, and are tested to withstand a standard time-temperature curve for a specified period. Fire doors are classified based on their fire-resistance rating, which is the time they can resist a test fire. The ratings are typically expressed in minutes or hours, with 20, 30, 45, 60, and 90 minutes being common ratings. In North American building codes, fire doors are often referred to as closures and can be derated compared against the fire separation that contains them, provided that this barrier is not a firewall or an occupancy separation. In Europe, national standards for fire doors have been harmonized with the introduction of the new standard EN 16034, which refers to fire doors as fire-resisting door sets. Fire doors are typically made of a combination of materials, such as glass sections, gypsum, steel, timber, vermiculite-boards, aluminium, and GI. The door leaf and door frame are required to meet the guidelines of the testing, and the door frame includes fire or smoke seals, door hardware, and the structure that holds the fire door assembly in place. Together, these components form an assembly, typically called a "doorset," which holds a numerical rating, quantified in minutes or hours of resistance to a test fire. All of the components of the fire door assembly must bear a listing agencies label, with the exception of ball-bearing hinges. Door hardware includes automatic closing devices or objects, ball-bearing hinges, gas seals, positive latching mechanisms, and smoke seals. Seals around the edges of a fire door are composed of an intumescent strip, which expands when exposed to heat, gaskets to prevent the passage of smoke, and neoprene weatherstripping. These seals help prevent the spread of fire and smoke and ensure that the fire door performs optimally during a fire, safeguarding lives and property. Fire doors are usually made from a solid timber frame, but they can sometimes be covered again in fire-resistant glass.

The rapid rise in residential and commercial construction projects globally is a significant driver for the growth of the fire door market. The escalating infrastructure development and refurbishment projects are boosting the demand for fire-resistant doors, leading to commendable industry growth. The stringent safety regulations and mandates for fire protection measures in buildings are propelling the demand for fire doors. With growing safety concerns and regulations to ensure building safety, the industry is witnessing increased demand for fire-rated doors to enhance fire safety measures in various structures. There is a high concern regarding the security and safety of commercial and residential buildings, which is driving the demand for fire doors. The awareness of the benefits of fire doors and the importance of fire protection measures in buildings is contributing to the market growth. Technological advancements in fire-resistant materials and manufacturing techniques are improving the quality and effectiveness of fire doors. The use of advanced materials and manufacturing processes is enhancing the fire resistance capabilities of doors, making them more reliable and efficient in fire protection. Companies in the fire door market are expanding their product offerings and market presence through mergers and acquisitions. These strategic initiatives are helping companies capitalize on growth opportunities, improve their market standing, and boost their footprint in the global market, driving overall market growth. The demand for fire doors is increasing across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The ever-growing demand for fire doors in commercial applications, driven by regulations and mandates for fire protection, is contributing to the dominance of the commercial sector in the market.
