Welcome to the 92nd edition of our GO TRACE Newsletter. For this new edition, we are glad to have once again the support of Go2NFT on our mission to bring you fresh news on fashion traceability and transparency.
As COP 29 has just ended, international press coverage highlights the lack of sufficient commitments, with the COP 29 financial agreement considered inadequate by developing countries. In an article this week, Vogue Business extends this criticism to the fashion industry, pointing to its lack of climate leadership and inaction. The article laments a missed opportunity at COP 29 and calls on the industry to act independently to advance sustainability.
While this newsletter is dedicated to traceability and transparency as pathways to sustainability, I could not overlook this major global event and its implications. The COP, even if it can disappoint, has at least the merit of reminding us all that accountability and action are essential. Tools such as traceability and practices like transparency, integrated into a broader strategy, provide concrete ways to rebuild trust, hold stakeholders accountable, and promote a more equitable and sustainable future for the planet and its people.
