Guide To Skin Care For Men
AKA: How to look younger than you are. Please note: links provided are Amazon affiliate links where I receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
Warning: This takes time and effort. If this doesn't fit into your lifestyle, just wash your face, wear sunblock and moisturize. That's the TLDR version.
You've heard the expression, Asian don't raisin, or Black don't crack. That might be true, but I wouldn't take it for granted that Mother Nature will take care you. I'm no expert on the subject of skin care, but here are my tips:
1. Prevention is better than remedies
2. Cut this out of your diet: sugar, alcohol and cigarettes
3. The things you put inside your body is literally medicine or poison. So choose wisely. Don't forget to drink lots of water.
4. Exercise a few times a week
5. Stay out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods. A Futur snapback cap is perfect for this. ;)
Morning Routine
- Wash your face something like skyn Iceland Glacial face wash. I use an exfoliation pad like the Buff Puff once a day to remove dead skin. I find that exfoliating twice a day makes me break out. https://amzn.to/2Ioolww
- Apply anti-wrinkle cream around your eyes. I use Kiehl's powerful wrinkle reducing eye cream. A little goes a long way. Apply gently with your pinky with a patting, upward motion. https://amzn.to/2MgegCN
- Apply sunblock on exposed areas (mostly face & nose). I really like La Roche-posay ultra light sunscreen fluid. It's non-greasy goes on smooth. Not cheap, but worth it. https://amzn.to/33esR91
- Apply Jack Black's double-duty face moisturizer around areas that you shave. The hinges around my mouth are prone to dry out and this prevents this. https://amzn.to/30QC1Xj
- To help combat the bald head "shine", aka the Asian Glow, I dust on Make Up For Ever HD high definition pressed powder. https://amzn.to/2Ve07KB
Nighttime Routine:
- Wash face
- Apply Biotherm Homme total recharge eye. https://amzn.to/2VduXTH
- 3. Moisturize with Clinique maximum hydrator (you can use this day or night if you have really dry skin). https://amzn.to/2oOZNWG
Once a week:
- I use a mud mask like GlamGlow Supermud clearing treatment. Comes with a brush applicator and you paint it on your face. Avoid the eye areas. It'll have a cooling sensation. Once it's dry, you can wash it off. https://amzn.to/2LO8GbU
- Alternatively, I also like the kyoku men lava masque. You apply this thick paste using your fingers. It has a refreshing scent. Leaves my skin feeling super smooth afterwards. https://amzn.to/2LMmFyT
- Afterwards, apply a facial moisturizer like Biotherm Homme total recharge. https://amzn.to/354WnQ6
When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you can do anything. Questions? Fire away.

5ySunblock should be the last step, as I've been told. Also eye-cream after moisturiser, if you're moisturising around your eyes too.
