Happy Sunday
How are you? The weather has been something else, hasn’t it? I’m actually struggling to simply walk my dogs! So, I just wanted to keep this short and sweet and give you one very important reminder:
ALL HORSES AND RIDERS BENEFIT FROM A BREAK
So… rather than feeling frustrated that your well-made plans are getting scuppered, remember that your training won’t be lost just because of a week or two where you haven’t been able to ride as planned.
In fact, take it as a forced break to embrace. Your horse’s body will enjoy the rest, and if you let yourself relax mentally, your body can enjoy it too. Horses don’t lose fitness over two weeks either, as long as they are having turnout. You’ll be able to pick up right where you left off—perhaps with a day of groundwork or a nice long hack to blow the cobwebs away.
And if you want something to look forward to, why not make a hot drink and have a look through the calendar…

What’s on?
- Confidence Day Camp – 30th March at the Unicorn Centre There is literally one space left! I know some of you asked about night stabling for the day before or after, and I can confirm this is a possibility. More details here: Confidence Day Camp
- Training Series at Oaktree Farm in Bloxham We’ve carefully structured clinic days around our “Have a Go” One-Day Events, which have been very popular since we started running them—so don’t wait too long with your entries! If you’re looking to build confidence for eventing this year, take a look. All the dates are here: Upcoming Events
- Somerford Park Camp Our main camp at Somerford Park is almost full! I feel like this camp gets better every year as we take feedback, make changes, and grow—and this year will be no exception. Only two spaces left before the waitlist opens. Details here: Somerford Park Confidence Camp 2025
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday, and I’ll see some of you soon at one of our events!
