 CIVIL PROJECT MANAGER, VANCOUVER, BC

Our client, a mid-sized, multi-discipline general contractor, is seeking a Project Manager Civil for a full-time role in their Vancouver, BC office. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years’ experience as a Project Manager in the civil construction industry managing infrastructure and/or heavy civil construction projects.

 What you have…

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager in the civil construction industry managing infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects
• Expert knowledge of construction methods, techniques, drawings, standards, specifications, health & safety, quality
• Expert user of project control software applications, including AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite
• Planning, organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada

CIVIL PROJECT COORDINATOR, VANCOUVER, BC

Our client, a mid-sized, multi-discipline general contractor, is seeking a Civil Project Coordinator for a full-time role in their Vancouver, BC office. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in the civil construction industry working on infrastructure and/or heavy civil construction projects

What you have…

• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 2-4  years of “hands-on” experience in the capacity of project coordinator
• Must have the willingness and drive to grow their career in Civil Infrastructure;
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada

OPERATIONS MANAGER, VANCOUVER, BC

 Our client, a full-service construction company, is seeking an Operations Manager for a full-time role in Burnaby, BC.

The ideal candidate will be focused, results-driven, adaptable, and resilient to changing environments with an ability to manage the unexpected. You will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and experience mentoring members of your team. Your ability to establish excellent relationships with clients will be vital to your success.

 What you have…

• Minimum 7 years of construction industry experience in a senior-level position.
• A mix of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in construction or industry-related program.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and sound technical knowledge of Microsoft Project.

SR. ESTIMATOR, ICI, VANCOUVER, BC

Our client is seeking an Estimator for a full-time role in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the costing process on commercial and residential construction projects.

What you have…

• 5 + years of experience preferably with a Construction Manager / General Contractor
• A diploma in Building Technology from a recognized institution
• The ability to work independently and prepare a complete estimate
• A full understanding of construction materials and techniques
• The ability to read blueprints and specifications, and to prepare accurate quantity take-offs
• The ability to prepare budgets from conceptual drawings
• The ability to prepare complete scopes of work, and to review and evaluate subcontractor tenders
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel, and estimating tools.
• Experience with formal tender closings and tender submittal procedures

SR. SUPERINTENDENT, RICHMOND, BC

Our client, a world-leading construction and building services company is seeking Sr. Superintendent for their Richmond, BC office within a full-time capacity.

 What you have…

• You have a construction-related degree and 4 to 6 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large commercial/civil projects (Design-Build, P3, Residential, Airport, or Healthcare)
• You have advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.
• You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion.

Our client, a world-leading construction and building services company is seeking Sr. Project Manager for their Richmond, BC office within a fulltime capacity.

What you have…

• You have a construction-related degree/diploma and 10+ years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience ( Residential, Commercial or Institutional)
• You have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract software
• You have the ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations
• Experience working on a large residential project with a strong team focus is required

PROJECT MANAGER (VARIOUS)– VANCOUVER AND LOWER MAINLAND

We currently have several clients seeking Project Managers with experience in various sectors including Commercial, Institutional, Tenant Improvement, ICI, Civil, Woodframe and High Rise for a full-time role in Vancouver, BC and surrounding areas. 

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing, executing, and monitor (budgets, timelines, and scope) the construction of high-rise projects.  Furthermore, the successful incumbent will play a key role in coordinating trades, teams, and vendors, as well as work hand-in-hand with architects, engineers, and key stakeholders on design drawings, revisions, and execution. 

 What you have…

• 10+ years of experience in a Project Management (Commercial, Institutional, Tenant Improvement, ICI, Civil, Woodframe and High Rise) capacity working on project budgets of $10 mil +
• Demonstrated technical knowledge in building sciences.
• Someone well versed in construction schedules and can prepare effective and accurate critical paths and can monitor continuously and track construction stages against a critical path
• Someone that has seen projects from start to finish.
• Team player, who can work well with all personality types at all levels of the organization

PROJECT COORDINATOR (VARIOUS)– VANCOUVER AND LOWER MAINLAND

We are currently working on several roles for Project Coordinators in various capacities, including hi-rise, tenant improvement, ICI, and civil, etc. 

 What you have…

• 1-3 years’ experience in the civil, general contracting, and development construction industry working on a hi-rise, tenant improvement, residential, civil works, or ICI projects.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience;
• A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration;
• Solid written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong computer skills with enthusiasm for innovation;
• Knowledge of the Vancouver market and ability to work throughout the Greater Vancouver area.

SUPERINTENDENT (VARIOUS)– VANCOUVER AND LOWER MAINLAND

We are currently working on several roles for superintendents in various capacities, including hi-rise, tenant improvement, ICI, civil, etc. 

 What you have…

• A minimum of 5 +years of construction superintendent experience is a requirement;
• Experience in building any combination of townhomes, 4-story or 6-story wood frame buildings;
• Proven ability to lead and manage a site staff as well as trades and consultants;
• Related post-secondary education is an asset;
• Experience working in the Greater Vancouver market is a preferred;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Projects, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Timberline;
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, presentation, and interpersonal skills;
• Valid BC driver’s license;
• Open and approachable team player with a positive attitude.
