Head of Junior School, Oxley College (NSW)
Oxley College is an independent, co-educational Pre-K to 12 day school in the Southern Highlands of NSW, with 850 students. It values holistic education, fostering character, care, and academic rigour. The college is committed to a dynamic, evidence-based learning environment, centred on students’ needs. Through a child-focused approach, Oxley encourages students to enjoy learning, understand the world, and find their place within it. The community upholds values of kindness, courage, and wisdom, working with parents to nurture each student's academic, emotional, and social development for positive global contributions.
The Head of Junior School holds a prominent place within the College's Executive Leadership Team, with strategic accountability to the Head of College and operational oversight from the Deputy Head of College. This dual reporting structure underscores the importance of the role in maintaining a harmonious balance between visionary educational leadership and the efficient day-to-day functioning of the Junior School.
The Head of Junior School is tasked with orchestrating the comprehensive educational experience of Junior School students, adopting a ‘whole child’ approach. This encompasses not only the academic dimension but also their physical, social and emotional development. We anticipate that the successful candidate will bring a forward-looking vision for outstanding junior education, one that embraces innovative approaches to curriculum design and wellbeing initiatives, all while aligning with the College’s values and wellbeing framework.
