The highest cost of team building (that you should not have to pay)

The highest cost of team building (that you should not have to pay)

Team building is not a cheap exercise.

Here are some costs you are likely to incur:

  • Venue
  • Accommodation (if it's a multi-day event)
  • Speaker/facilitator
  • Activities (e.g. a game drive)
  • The time/cost of taking people away from their work!!
  • Food and drinks

As you can see, the costs stack up quickly.

However, the most expensive aspect of team building is not the upfront investment.

But failure in committing to the follow through.

Friday's hype should transform into Monday's to-do list.

Team building gives the prescription, you must diligently take the medicine.

Team building provides the eating plan, you must stick to the diet.

Team building provides the blueprint, you must build the house.

To capitalize on the work done during a team building exercise, make sure that you do the work after the work.

Here's to building better teams,

Erik

Erik Kruger I like everything you highlighted above, I hope my questions ain't stupid but I'll just shoot.. From a LinkedIn perspective, I'm working alone and I want to find prospects that will be part of my team, do you recommend LinkedIn? What would the best approach be in getting everyone under the same space? What does it take for professionals to believe and want to be part of my team or other teams? Thank you for sharing.
