Hope, the Pope, Greta and a better world
Pope Francis and Greta Thunberg joined with some amazing people to fill the gaps left by politicians in the international arena even on the 75th anniversary of the United Nations. They are lobbying for the future we all want, but "you can play your part right now!"
While the US, China, France and Germany absent themselves from the World Health Organization's project to provide equal access to Covid-19 vaccines COVAX the United Nations appears to have been pushed further into the back seat of global leadership.
Others are pouring in to fill the gap in a positive sign of hope. "How do we lift each other up, and make it fair?"
The Pope, Greta and even the United Nations Secretary-General himself António Guterres, are trying new ways to partner for global good. They have been joined by new-age influencers such as the Hindu “hugging saint” Amma, Nobel Laureate Dr. Mario Molina, climate champion Christina Figueres, the footballers Paulo Dybala and Mathieu Flamini, F1 champion Nico Rosberg, All Blacks’ legend Dan Carter, model Arizona Muse, filmmaker Valarie Kaur, the actress Nina Sosanya, Imam Mohammed Mahmoud, Dhammananda Bhikkhuni, the activist Hindou Ibrahim, and the spiritual leaders Benki Piyãko and Radhanath Swami to produce the film #ImagineFor1Minute

#ImagineFor1Minute is mesmerising and has a simple message - it’s time to talk about the future we want.
The film is independent and not linked to a campaign - it’s a fantastic tool that can be used to engage people with visualising a better future, whatever that means for them, and then to talk about it - to make us all feel part of something bigger and better.
