HOW CAN WOMEN WIN ELECTIONS IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA?
How can women win elections in Papua New Guinea, in a male dominated society? To win elections in Papua New Guinea, one has to think, act, and do what the voters tell you. Women in Papua New Guinea don’t vote female MPs. That should tell you how strong of a culture you come up against. Even if women were free to make their own decisions, they would choose men over women. Actually they do that. – Academia Nomad.

2yIt isn't about women but PNG voters prejudice and negative bias toward women in politics that need to change. How do we change that negative bias? When we see a woman on a poster, we unconsciously make judgements about her without even taking the time to learn more about the female candidate's background and capabilities? That's our negative bias at work and it needs to change. Next time, appoint me as your campaign manager na bai yumi campaign gut. He he. Just kidding.

2yThis has nothing to do with gender and my comment is based on the work we see. I think Powes Pokop has done a lot for the city and we have seen results with the work being done. My vote is going to Powes Pakop. Entirely based on the work being done.

2yPapua New Guineans viewed women as weak. However, since PNG is a Democrative country they have the right to contest and this will motivate other women to contest as well. Also, some women are smarter than men in politics. #SupportingWomen
