ESTAPACIFICA: CRITICISM IS THE BEST TEACHER – IT HURTS YOUR PRIDE BUT BUILDS YOUR CONFIDENCE

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO OTHER YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE CRITICIZED FOR TRYING TO DO SOMETHING GREAT FOR THEMSELVES?

Criticism is the best teacher. It hurts your pride but builds your confidence. From my perspective there are two types of criticisms. There is the type that builds you and there is the other type that is just plain “noise.” I pay attention to the type of criticisms that will build me. I ignore that type that don’t contribute to my growing which I like to consider as “noise.” Noises are distractions and who likes noise when they are concentrating. – Estapacifica.

FROM THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH, HON. DR. TOM LINO TO THE PEOPLE OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA

No nation in the world has conquered health and its issues. Even the developed world struggle. We’re no exception and we do have our own peculiar issues. A nation’s Health is its Wealth and we will do all that’s necessary to help improve it as it’s any government’s social contract with its people. We are duty bound to help you all but we are also limited by so many obstacles and funding is one of them. This Government is prioritizing health like never before and we hope to see a lot more improvement in this sector. There’s so much hope and therein lies my problem. There’s no quick fix and it’ll take years but we’ll try make a start. – Dr. Tom Lino.

# 1. If you are going to critic someone, do it positively meaning critic but yet offer suggested improvements. Remember not everyone is as strong as you think. #2 Always find the essence of the critic by asking the 5 w's. If the criticism is negetive in nature don't let it trouble you.. move on.. to an extent it may be "bullying".

There is always a lesson somewhere in criticism. Either you learn from it and move on or it gets you down.
