Power versus Force and how to create world peace!
Acts of war are those that use Force. Power is when we can achieve the desired outcome without the use of Force.
Honors are bestowed on those who display courage using Force during battle and save lives, and much can be said about that. We shall leave this for another discussion for another day.
Does it strike you as odd, however, that they are more celebrated than those who prevent wars and save even more lives? Those working to prevent wars through peaceful and diplomatic means or by building relationships may also save hundreds if not thousands or even Millions of lives and still, they receive no honor and no medals.
It strikes ME as odd. Somehow we are taking peaceful or diplomatic ways for granted. We don't honor these ways as much as the acts of Force that require courage.
Should this continue?
Can we as humanity afford to continue with such practices that have us celebrate acts of war more so than actions that prevent conflict and acts that avoid death for thousands?
Can we afford to stay this way and claim to be highly evolved as a species?
I think not!
Not if we want to have world peace!
