How do you want your story to go?

How do you want your story to go?

There’s a moment that really shifted things in my life. It was when I was sitting in the audience at a conference in 2018 listening to Amy Purdy.

Amy shared her remarkable story of being diagnosed with a severe disease where she lost both of her legs. Instead of giving up on her dreams of being a snowboarder, she decided to get creative and eventually won two World cup gold medals making her the highest ranked adaptive female snowboarder in the World. You can listen to the entire story here

As I sat in the audience at the conference, she posed this simple question - “If my life was a book and I were the author, how would I want the story to go?”

This question has been with me ever since. It started my deeper journey through multiple career shifts and led me to the place today where I’ve become a force that helps awaken others to their mission in life.

I remember going home after the conference and for days just sitting with the question - “how do I want my story to go?”

I knew that being a product leader was a great job but it wasn’t my ultimate story. I knew there was more. I knew I wanted to create my own story. I realized my love for genuine relationships and deep conversations. That’s how my love for coaching was born.

So I ask YOU - If your life was a book and you were the author, how would you want the story to go?
