How to get out of the Rat Race of your Business... and Scale.
The traditional way of building a business is:
1. Study the intended market
2. Survey the intended market
3. Create your product or service
4. Create your positioning in the market
5. Drive traffic to your product or service through marketing
6. Convert leads into customers through sales
7. Work in your business, NOT on it as the Boss, rather than a Visionary Leader.
8. Deliver your product or service to customers.
9 Work hard towards repeat business with those customers.
10. Continue to start over each time to close that next client.
11. Ask for referrals
This model has worked well for centuries (Think Fiddler on the Roof and Death of a Salesman), except for these downsides:
1. You must start over after each sale.
2. You hit a ceiling in potential revenue and bandwidth since there are only so many hours in the day.
3. You CANNOT scale if you are the one delivering your product or service.
4. You can only help a limited number of people.
5. Constant cash flow crunches
6. Operational expenses grow at the same rate as your sales
7. Very unhappy loved ones that do not get to spend time with you.
8. A business that has a minimal chance of being salable, and if so, for very little return compared to your years of sacrifice.
9. Exhaustion and burn-out.
If you run a business in this way, over time you will no longer own your business, it will own you. Or... it will fail.
Scaling takes your tree trunk and multiplies its reach through massive amounts of beautiful, sustainable branches and shimmering leaves..
How to Scale:
1. Research the intended market
2. Study what your competition is NOT offering and go in that direction.
3. Survey the intended market
4. Determine and Devise your Multiplier: How you will take your Product or Service from
'One to One', to 'One to Many' at one time so you can: Multiply your Impact and Multiply Your Profits. There are many methods to doing this. You only need one.
5. Build the plane while you fly it and improve your offering along the way.
6. Use Creative Brainstorming and Strategy to grow instead of Blood, Sweat and Tears.
7. Don't do it alone. Fast-track by Hiring a Mentor that has already built a very successful company. Gain support and momentum by surrounding yourself with other highly successful business owners within a structured mastermind.
8. Replace yourself. Build a Team-Managed Company so you can leave for long periods of time while your company thrives..without you. (Mary Kay will not be coming to your door to apply make-up and Orville Redenbacher will not be popping your popcorn. Yet, they built billion empires and household names.)
9. Once your foundation is in tact, take massive leaps and scale.
10. Sell and Exit, Pass down to Family Member or keep as a constant Cash Injection or run as a Passion/Legacy Mission.
Your Scale Upsides:
1. You operate in the world as the Visionary you Dream of Being fueled by passion and creative energy.
2. Your business time is spent on creativity, innovation and relationship building.
3. You live in a world of possibilities instead of limitations.
4. You are energized by your business.
5. You reach your financial/Impact/Personal goals in a fraction of the time.
6. You have time to be regularly present with your loved ones.
7. Your profits grow exponentially while your expenses do not.
8. Your positive impact is massive.
The Key:
Always be thinking, "What is my fastest route to the top? What is My Multiplier? How can I reach a wider audience with less output of time, energy and money?
You must Replicate YOU so that you are no longer delivering your product or service.
Scaling businesses is what I have done for the last 35 years. I tried the original way in my first business and nearly killed myself from exhaustion which led to a near fatal car accident. Once I figured out the formula for scaling, it changed my life forever and I have been fortunate to help a lot more people live a healthier and wealthier life.
This is why I wrote a Wall Street Journal Best Selling Book about this process called, "Scale or Fail."
I will be bringing all of this to life at my 9th Annual Level-Up LIVE 3 day event, January 17-19th in Palm Springs, www.LevelUpLiveEvent.com
My team of high-level business experts and I will teach you exactly how to:
1. Determine your 1 Multiplier out of 17 Choices so you can scale your established company
2. Develop your rock-solid marketing and sales plan for 2020
3. Flow through my 5 phases of building a "dream- team-managed company" so you can step away to travel, spend time with loved ones or just sleep in every day like I do.
(I took off one week for 10 months this year plus 2 weeks in 2 months totaling 3.5 months off in 2019.)
4. Get the steps to build your systems and processes so you and your team stop recreating the wheel.
5. Get the plan to Reclaim your Time with my 3 P's of Planning.
6. Let go of old programming and fear that keeps you small and trapped in the old model.
7. Make life-changing connections/partnerships/joint-ventures.
You can jump into 2020 with a commitment to working harder in the old model. Or you can invest 3 days to shift to scaling this new model to truly step into your greatness and get your life back.
Business is not for everyone. It's not easy and it does not happen overnight. Anyone that tells you that is lying. Yet, it does not have to be a struggle. Banging your head against the same wall year-after-year, hoping and dreaming that you will make a bigger dent in that wall is ridiculously painful. Instead, replace your ancient hamster wheel with innovative scale strategies. Business is a blast when you set yourself up to win. In 2020, stop being the worker-bee, putting out daily fires and chasing that next client. Become the Visionary Leader you are meant to be.
