How we have helped in 2022

Good financial planning does not focus on investment returns, costs and tax etc. They are elements financial planning but not the purpose of a financial planning.

Good financial planning focusses on where you are now and where you want to be, what is and is not possible with the resources available to you. What needs to happen to get you from A to B.

In so doing financial planning helps you see new horizons and possibilities, helps move your thinking on. Good financial planning makes life better.

In 2022 we welcomed 36 new families and said goodbye to none. We helped all of them make life better, here are a few of their stories:

GS – is now clear she can be with her mother on the other side of the world as she battles a serious illness. She can afford a long sabbatical without endangering her own financial security. We helped her see and feel this.

AD & FD – He loves his job but is itching to get on with other projects. She could never see herself stopping work until her mother passed. Now both have felt confident enough to resign early, safe in the knowledge that what they have will support the life they wish to lead for decades to come.

CB, JB et al. – Our first four generation client. Knowing all is safe and sound has allowed him to finally leave the corporate world and explore his love of motors, travel and sport. And family.

JP – her ex-husband organised their financial affairs, she did not know what was where and why. We helped her move on and take control and responsibility of her finances. With time and patience she now has her own plan which will support what she wants and needs for the decades to come.

JM & SM – after years in the City he took a challenging local job, expecting to work for years to come. Their financial plan shows clearly that he doesn’t, which allows her to stop working too. It also allows them the holiday home they want.

DW – after decades of brutal shift work, he feels free to start getting things in place for the next chapter. Top of the list is a new holiday home on the coast. It was in his financial plan from day one and has now come to fruition. He is one step closer to where he wants to be.

AB & AB – Having just finished work they want to get their children set up with properties. Their financial plan confirms the scope of what is possible without endangering their own financial security. Financial planning is often about showing how others can be helped and supported without detriment to yourself.

Here's to many more great stories in 2023!
