US$9.3 Billion invested across 250+ HRTech deals in 2022

As organistions continue to turn to technology to address business challenges the interest and investments in HRTech start-ups continues despite the market slowdown. In over 250 deals the HRTech start-ups saw funding of US$9.3+ Billion being pumped with US$5 Billion in Q1 and US$4.3 B in Q2 respectively.

While there are indications that investors are being prudent as cash becomes scarce, HRTech start-ups continue to raise capital to meet the accelerating demands for employee-centric solutions.

With over 80 deals tracked in H1 2022, and a 92.6% Y-o-Y growth in the number of deals, the HRTech solution providers looking at acquiring capabilities to obtain are skilled and tech-savvy talent, maintain a competitive advantage over others and meet changing market demands.

Talent Development segment saw the steepest increase in segment share, with 15 out of 81 deals in 2022 which is a clear indication that businesses have understood the importance of skills & the need for continuous upskilling to navigate through the times of Great Employee Resignation. Talent Acquisition continued to maintain its top spot across the M&A deals in HRTech space.
