I got my covid vaccine. We can do it ...
I completed my covid-vaccinations in March 021
Many people ask me frequently: Should we get a vaccination or not?
I refer them to their medical providers for medical advise. There are different factors for considerations: medical conditions, allergies, timing etc.
Getting vaccinations is a personal choice, however for professionals like myself who have been working/serving on frontlines it is also important not only for ourselves but for protecting others whom we serve. It is important for a larger community and for the society.
We have been serving Older Adults throughout pandemic in category called: essential, frontline workers.
I have been a part of teams that helped with logistics during vaccination clinics for several months since 2021. It is a new area of service for myself as well.
It has been very rewarding to assist many people during these clinics and to cooperate with my health care professionals. The progress and succes is a result of TEAMS work.
In re: to vaccine in my case - I got Moderna vaccine (two doses) administered by Walgreens. There are more choices about Covid vaccines in the United States right now.
Our task is to provide continuing education in regards to vaccinations opportunities, prevention in Chicago Area, to share reliable information from CDC, IDPH, CDPH and other institutions, respecting individual choices in re vaccinations.
