I have come to comprehend that our mission is to efficiently connect you with businesses and resources...
Hello, my name is Luzero Flores and I am a volunteer at Get In Motion Entrepreneurs. I will briefly inform you how is it that I got to Intern for the non-profit organization.
Although I am a current college student at College of the Desert, it was not through them that I came to find out about the internship opportunity. How I came to learn about the internship was through a program called Indio WIN Center Youth Opportunity. Its a program made accessible to youth ages 18-24 offering work readiness services. After hearing about this program I immediately and literally signed up the next day without a hassle; it is a process but with the right documents you do find out your eligibility the same day. The center partners with different organizations to offer a great range of classes to gain certificates and widen your career goals. As a result of finishing your requisite classes with the center, the opportunity to do a paid internship and gain real interactive experience in the workforce presents itself.
In my third week here helping Armando, I already witnessed two business owners start their own websites. None of the two compare as each was distinct in the experience witnessed. Today, I got astounded after learning that after seven years this business owner finally got his own website. Again, I was astounded to also learn he saw one of the many interviews we have done so far and with a call, he decided it time to change that aspect of missing out on what it means to have a website. After the first consultation, we maintain periodic contact with you on your new journey towards this new horizon to amplify your business.
I have come to comprehend that our mission is to efficiently connect you with businesses and resources offering the support you need to expand your small business benefiting you and the community. As a volunteer, you will get to discover the world of business in action. At the same time, you will form part of a team that is disposed of in connecting the bridge of adversity within minority businesses and unifying partnerships to continue growth.
