House approves Fire Grants and Safety Act

House passes S.870 with overwhelming support

The House of Representatives has approved the Fire Grants and Safety Act (S.870) by a decisive vote of 393 to 13, signaling a robust bipartisan endorsement of the measure.

This legislation is crucial for the continuation of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG), the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant Program (SAFER), and the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA).
