The Importance of Early Retinal Photos for Lifelong Eye Health
Taking retinal photos of children early on is important to document the health of their fundus from an early age. Studies show that this is especially important when differentiating between glaucomatous changes versus a patient with myopia. At Treehouse Eyes, our goal is to give children better vision for life. Having fundus photography from a 6-year-old and then looking at it when they are 60 will teach us so much about their health over time. Perhaps in the future, we can leverage all these photos and use artificial intelligence to tell us so much more about the past, present, and future health of our patients.
Dr. Thanh Mai OD FSLS will be presenting with Dr. Valerie Lam, OD, FAAO, FCOVD in an upcoming Double Feature Webinar CE Event on May 9th. See details and register below!
