An Important post about Mentoring
I get a lot of requests about & Qs on mentoring. Here are some things to consider. Watch this space as I am planning some tools to help you understand yourself better & therefore who to work with on growing your portfolio & wealth...
1. Training, coaching, mentoring & masterminding are all different
(Do you know the difference? Do you think you need one but actually need the other)? Feel free to ask me below...
2. Do you know your strengths & weaknesses honestly? If you don't, how can you know what those your mentor should possess are?
3. What level are you at? Newbies are probably better off getting some foundational training first so you don't waste time & money & you know your strategies. More advanced people often frustrated that most of the courses/content are for beginners should probably be in a mastermind. You need to find the level above you
4. You should not be led by budget. I know money is needed, but you should drive for and strive for the level that is right for you (even if you have to wait or save or hustle to get there) rather than say "I want a mentor & I have £30 per hour budget" (someone said this to me & I politely said I don't know any decent mentor at that budget)
5. Research the mentor/programme. This is your responsibility & it is pretty easy. How long have they been doing it. Do they have lots of case studies (& a few haters to show their scale). How do they handle themselves publicly & treat others, what do most people say about them, do they care, do they have good systems, experience, what are their results, etc). PM me if you need any help
6. Commit to it. Do not go in & out. IF you're going to do it, go all in & leave nothing out there. Follow their instructions (why have a dog & bark yourself). Over-deliver on your actions, use your mentor/mastermind, be relentless & desire to be their best case study
7. Don't expect them to do it for free, or as a JV & you pay them at the end; free advice is worth every penny. The more you commit time & finances the better results you will forge for yourself. But get a guarantee from them & push them to step up too
8. Don't have too many mentors; you may feel pulled all over the place. I like to have many mentors BUT in totally different niches
9. Save & invest a % of your earnings for investment in yourself. That way you can afford it when the right opportunity comes along
10. Anyone who says 'you don't need a mentor you can get everything online for free' is deluded, skint or bitter. Whilst we can all achieve certain levels of success on our own we ALL know that ANYONE who's got decent results read, listened, studied, did self-education, has mentors, masterminds; great networks, etc. Especially the billionaires
It's a myth you have to like the person you are mentored/coached by. You have to respect their results & their journey & their motives, but they don't have to be (& probably shouldn't be) like you
There are the following levels of mentoring & masterminding we have at Progressive & Unlimited Success. They are application only. If you want to be considered PM me. And like I said watch this space as I have some tools & developments to help you gain clarity in this big subject
Level 1: Online raising finance group coaching (low budget, for anyone wanting to raise more finance)
Level 2. 1 to 1 mentoring with master mentor (we have a few in their respective niches) (with some follow up support) (medium budget, for overwhelmed newbies with some education)
Level 3. Progressive VIP (group coaching programme with mentors) (medium budget) (for all levels looking to scale up, network, JV, be accountable & have specific actions & support)
Level 3. ICM (Inner Circle mastermind) Mastermind for BUSINESS (not property) - less than 25 group coaching & masterminding (not full hand holding) (medium budget)
Level 4. ICM Elite (as above but smaller numbers with Mark & I as your mentors at my boardroom at home) higher level business owners (£100k to multi-millionaire)
Level 5. Cayman legacy (Higher budget) very small numbers mastermind AND retreat in Cayman (Mark & I & high level associates; many millionaires)
Level 6. (coming soon) Millionaires mastermind (for millionaires of £1m+ turnover)
We currently do not have coaches who charge per hour. If there is enough of a demand we may seek this out, but really we likely to help more long term & with more commitment & accountability.
Any Q's tag me in...
