InfosecTrain's Jasdeep Kaur Shares Her Inspiring Story

Meet Jasdeep Kaur, an Assistant Manager- Inside Sales at InfosecTrain who believes “Learning is never ending.” Let’s catch up with our energetic and charismatic colleague Jasdeep Kaur to know about her professional journey at InfosecTrain.

1.What would you say about your role in the company?

My role in this company is to handle clients around the world, interact with them, understand their career requirements, and provide the right career option. I handle the post-training services of resolving queries, understand further requirements, and provide references to enhance business productivity. Recently, we also started providing corporate training services connected with the L&D department that spread wings to get more leads. I got promoted a little while back which came with added responsibilities. I’m also guiding a team and helping them to achieve targets.

2. What sparked your interest in this particular profession?

I’m passionate about interacting with people and love talking to people around me. This profession is really suitable for me because I get a chance to interact with different kinds of people coming from different regions. When I counsel them on the right career path, and they get better solutions from me, it is the best feeling I get in this profession.

3. What is something that was unique to this place?

InfosecTrain is a wow company for me- The best part is that I never felt like an employee over here, and it is actually an InfosecTrain Family. We can share our ideas and opinions over here, and the management considers our ideas and implements them proactively, which is unique from other companies.

4. When did you realize acquiring a job here was the right move?

I returned to work after four years of a sabbatical and was perplexed about taking this position. After I joined InfosecTrain, in the beginning, I achieved my targets and got appreciated by the management. That’s when I realized I made the right decision.

5. Describe a professional role model who has inspired you.

Prabh is my professional role model; he was a friend of mine in the previous company. He started working on his venture, and gave me this opportunity. Later, I got to know Deepti Mam and she became my professional role model. She is a pro at handling the team and achieving targets, which inspires me. I learned a lot while working with my mentor. We have a healthy competition among teammates for achieving our targets. My team and everyone at InfosecTrain inspires me.

6. What is something special about your line of work that you have learned?

Some of my old clients are connected to me and provide references, which means a lot to me. They believe that I can give better solutions for their career requirements.

7. What about your job energizes and drains you?

When I achieve my target and get some registrations daily, it energizes me at work. Going to the office and meeting colleagues also energizes me. Sometimes, even after a long conversation with the client, I don’t get to close the deal which drains me a lot.

8. What has boosted your confidence?

Whenever I achieve my targets on time, I get appreciation, which boosts my confidence at work.

9. Describe a time at work that you particularly enjoy.

When I go to the office, I interact with Deepti Mam, and the team meetings energize me at work. Also the fun activities conducted by HR are the one of the best times that I really enjoy.

10. What qualities most stand out about the folks you work with?

My colleagues are very kind and help each other. Whenever I needed help, I never got a no from anyone, whether day or night or even after working hours; everyone is ready to help me.

11. What keeps you positive and motivated throughout the day?

A positive client. When I get messages from clients looking for a requirement and want to take registration, it keeps me positive and motivated throughout the day.

12. What is the best appreciation you have ever received?

In the mid-year award ceremony, I got awarded as a Sales frontrunner for my consistent performance, which is the best appreciation I have received. I am often addressed as “Rockstar” at work by Deepti ma’am which is a huge honor for me. I got promoted to Assistant Manager- inside sales which was the best moment that I’ll always cherish.

13. How has your recent work-life balance been?

Initially, it was tough, but I worked hard to have an excellent work-life balance. But now, I have an outstanding work-life balance, my kids are grown up, and my laws are supportive. Also, flexible working hours are a tremendous advantage for handling things even after late hours.

14. Do you believe your career is progressing?

Yes, my career is progressing; my career growth is visible to me. I got promoted with a nice increment, and I’ll continue to grow with the company.
