Interview with Chris Sackett, Three new partners, Upcoming new features and more

Interview with Chris Sackett, ex-VP Bell and Twiceme advisor

We had the opportunity to sit down with Chris Sackett, former VP of Bell Helmets and President of Fasthouse, to discuss market trends, the future of the motorcycle and bike industry, and where he sees Twiceme fit into that future. Chris works closely with us as an advisor, drawing on his decades of experience in the industry to guide our product development.

In this interview, you will learn how he came to join the motorcycle industry, what trends he’s seen in the last 20 years, and what he thinks about the future of safety, helmet technology, and innovation. His story underscores the power of innovation and commitment.

He emphasizes the importance of safety innovation and consumer value while also believing that real-time product data, like what Twiceme offers, can drive industry progress and help brands make safer products. Especially if it's from the mass market segment.

Entering new segment with largest customer to date

The year has taken off with a good start for us at Twiceme, as we welcome several new partners. Notably, three new partners joined us in Q1, and one of them is the biggest partner to date for us. And actually among the biggest in the world in its segment. Also, for us at Twiceme, it’s a completely new segment, something we’re excited about.

We’re also happy that brands are beginning to view other pieces of personal gear as PPE, beyond the obvious helmets and harnesses. Any personal gear can speak for you in case of emergency, and through Twiceme’s preventative features, we can also help the end-consumers take care of their gear, so it lasts longer and protects when it's needed.

Boots on the ground at the US construction sites with Studson

Ryan Barnes, CEO and Founder of Studson, and Christian Connolly, CEO of Twiceme Technology at the Skanska worksite in Portland, Oregon.

A few weeks ago, our CEO, Christian Connolly , and COO, Jack Wisland , together with Lance Ohrazda QSSP , and Chris Sackett , visited our partner Studson. The goal - to understand how to best onboard new contractors, spread awareness amongst US contractors and further expand our product offering from a software perspective.

Studson has done an incredible job growing their company in a short timespan, taking a top spot in the US. We know that together with them we can help their customers lower accidents at sites, stay compliant, and have the tools to take care of their workers.

Below you can read more about the visit shared by Jack.

Rescue dialogs intensified to spread awareness

During the quarter, we accelerated our rescue work, with a focus on spreading awareness at key destinations in Europe and in US. We currently have strategic partnerships with American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), National Ski Patrol (NSP), ICAR-International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR), Fédération Internationale des Patrouilles de Ski (FIPS), and more. These overarching organizations help us spread awareness about Twiceme in a top-down approach, but we’re now focusing even more on being out amongst the rescue patrollers to spread awareness.

This also happens together with our partner brands, who help us supply rescuers with gear that has Twiceme, and we in turn get a chance to work much closer together with them as ambassadors. We get rescuers reaching out to us very often, seeing the value in what we do and wanting to help us spread awareness. By supplying them with gear and working closely with them during trainings, such as when we’re now attending the annual FIPS conference in the North of Sweden, where all of Europe's ski patrollers will be, we can spread awareness faster than before.

Focus on improving the current app and preparing for coming new features

We're laser-focused on enhancing our current app and gearing up for exciting new features. It's been rewarding to witness a significant increase in user retention across all categories, a testament to our commitment to meeting their elevated expectations. Last month, we dedicated substantial effort to fine-tuning the app and its features, introducing updates such as an enhanced flow for creating a medical ID, refreshed designs for rescue areas, and a streamlined method for sharing location information with local rescuers.

Currently, we're gearing up for the release of 3D maps, a game-changer for sports enthusiasts. With these maps, bikers and skiers will seamlessly navigate through our Friends Alert and Get Back Timer features, enhancing their overall experience. We can't wait to unveil this exciting update at the Sea Otter tradeshow and share it with all of you!

Revolutionizing features are coming for the industry segment

Having relevant working documents and certifications readily accessible is crucial for industry workers to ensure they have the necessary credentials and permissions to perform their tasks. These documents serve as proof of qualifications, training, and compliance with safety regulations. By keeping these documents close at hand, workers can quickly verify their eligibility to work on specific tasks or projects. To meet this demand, we aim to soon release a feature that makes it possible for the workers to connect their relevant documents to their medical ID.

Additionally, we're preparing to launch an entirely new mode in the Twiceme app, complete with a suite of innovative features tailored to safety managers and other competent individuals at construction sites. This new mode will empower users to ensure that the equipment utilized on-site meets stringent safety standards, enhancing overall workplace safety and efficiency.

Beta user program started - join here

As we aim to innovate faster this year than before (we know right, after launching 11 features last year you might think “how is that possible?”), we’ve begun onboarding power users and beta testers to try out new functionalities and features. This will allow us to experiment more efficiently with real-world feedback from the end-consumers in the market.

If you want to join as a beta tester, or know someone who wants to, you can do so here.
