Introducing Mogul Jobs, built for Black professionals
In 2017, I founded Mogul Millennial, a media company that empowers, educates, and supports Black professionals and entrepreneurs. Since our founding days, we've been supporting the Black community through smart content, resources, and intentional programming, and have contemplated additional ways we can support our community and help them combat challenges.
Access to opportunities is one of the leading challenges that Black professionals and entrepreneurs face, and at Mogul Millennial, we've been working hard to combat this problem. While a student at Prairie View A&M University (PV), I personally faced this problem, and even though I didn't know it then, the idea for Mogul Millennial's newest initiative Mogul Jobs was being birthed.
Let me break it down for ya'.
During my Junior and Senior year at PV (an HBCU), I was attending career fairs more frequently because I was preparing to graduate, and finding a company that would support my professional goals and help me grow was crucial. During that same time, my friend who attended a PWI was also preparing to graduate and was attending career fairs as well.
The biggest difference between his career and MY career fair?
The opportunities and the companies that were present.
My friend's university, the PWI, had way more employers present. Outside of the leading corporations, the big tech companies and powerhouse startups we know of today were also there actively recruiting at his PWI, but were absent at my HBCU.
From there, after talking to friends who went to PWIs and HBCUs, I realized that there was a huge disconnect and problem existing with Black job seekers having access to career opportunities and being in the loop about leading companies that were hiring.
Back then as a 20-year-old college student, I knew this was a huge problem, and that there had to be a better way to connect top Black talent with opportunities. Ten years later, I've been doing the work to fix this problem through Mogul Millennial, and now our newest initiative Mogul Jobs, will help us move faster and be even more impactful.
Introducing Mogul Jobs
Mogul Jobs is a weekly newsletter and job board that shares jobs from leading companies and startups that are actively recruiting and are looking for Black talent. In addition, we have a talent directory that was built specifically to help the Black community get directly in front of our company partners.

Here are four reasons why I'm particularly excited about Mogul Jobs:
#1: Our goal is to help Black professionals get access to the opportunities and resources they need to build their careers. Our job board and weekly email for job seekers does this and more.
#2: On our job board and in our newsletter, we also highlight job opportunities at Black-owned and Black-led businesses. My team and I wholeheartedly see the power and genius that derives from Black-owned businesses and want to see the Squire's and Calendly's of the world get access to top Black talent just as quick as the Facebook's and Google's.
(job opps on our job board with this symbol 👋🏾 are from Black-owned and Black-led companies)
#3: We keep our community updated on the regular with the hottest job opportunities. Every Wednesday we send out our weekly Mogul Jobs email, and if you're subscribed to our job board, you'll get a daily run-down of the newest jobs added so that you're always in the loop.
#4: Outside of our job board, we amplify our company partner jobs through our social media channels, our weekly newsletter, and have additional exposure options for our company partners!
Whether you're looking for your dream job or dream employee, I know that Mogul Millennial can help you.
