Invent The Change February Highlights
2022 has been off to a wonderful start! From a new logo to a new episode of Make48... here are a few highlights from February!
NEW LOGO!
The inspiration for the logo comes from this photo of me as a child. My curiosity was beaming out of the box and I believe the power of STEM can help curious young girls and boys become super heroes, solve big (and little) problems and contribute their best ideas to improve our planet.
My vision is a world where STEM is celebrated and young girls and boys are empowered to invent the change they want to see in the world! The new logo is also available on T-shirts in our STEM Shop and is what my audience members and I will be wearing during my American Ninja Warrior debut! If you would like stay informed on the details or want to take a closer look into my American Ninja Warrior training and preparation you can follow the journey on Instagram: @JayFloresInspires
It's Not Magic, It's Science!
Our "It's Not Magic, It's Science!" STEM kit has been inspiring young minds all across the country! The Magic Science Cup that comes in the kit and is highlighted above is definitely a favorite item. Here is a testimonial from a mother of two girls ages 7 & 9:
"My girls love it! It’s actually quite the kit! Especially for the price! The girls wanted to do all the experiments at once! The directions are perfect, very clear and easy for kids to read. The videos are extremely helpful as a great quick way to see how the experiments work. The supplies aren’t complicated and are also supplies you could easily get again to try the experiment many many times. I have bought more expensive kits that are less exciting. I also think tying the science to the theme of magic is fantastic. Kids really like doing things that seem impossible or really make you think about how it happened!"

Noche De Ciencias
I am excited to partner with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) to empower the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development! Thanks to support from Honeywell and Dow we provided k-12th grade students from across the country with a free virtual science night events filled with STEM. Parents were also able to join the event and gain valuable information and resources on how to best position their children for success when pursuing a college degree in the STEM fields.
Make48 Indianapolis
I served as the emcee for Make48's city series event in Indianapolis, Indiana where eight teams competed in a 48 hour innovation competition with the theme of "Empowering Health at Home." What resulted were some of the best new home health product prototypes I've ever seen. The top two teams advance on to compete in Wichita for Make48's National event, a filmed PBS docuseries where I will have the honor to serve as host!
Looking Forward
