Janitors In Buildings Making Coffee
The cleaning/Janitorial world employs workers who are at times overlooked, or worse, looked down upon as somehow being a lowly vocation. Que the famous quote that’s been floating around LinkedIn this past year:
“My parents taught me to think of the janitor the same way I think of the CEO”.
Can we put that to bed already? I understand where most people are coming from when they post that statement, and I appreciate where their heart is on the subject. But how about instead we say, “My parents taught me to work hard, like a Janitor, so that I would understand the value of a good work eithic as I progress in my career.” That sounds way less pretentious, and more accurate.
Enter Joe Miller. We hired Joe, a Seminary student, as a part time cleaner for our company. Joe’s parents are missionaries who have connections with other missionaries in countries who happen to grow really good coffee beans! I’d like to highlight his coffee beans which he only roasts once your specific order is made. I can attest to the quality and flavor of his coffee beans, I’m a regular customer because they’re that good! Check it out at Joesjoe.co
Next time you see a janitor hard at work, go up and thank them for their hard work, and tell them what they’re doing is so important, especially in the times in which we now live. Oh, and grab come whole coffee beans from our cleaner - joesjoe.co !
