Highway Maintenance Worker 2 (In-Training) – Regionwide Crew (Non-Permanent)

Lacey, WA – Olympic Region

$3,796 – $5,214 Monthly

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking to fill several non-permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 2 positions located in Lacey, WA. These journey-level positions are members of the Regionwide buttons, Regionwide thermoplastics, or Regionwide Work Zone Crews.  These positions primarily work in the installation, removal, and maintenance of Raised Pavement Markings (RPM) and durable pavement markings; assist in the daily operations of the striping and plastics program striping; assist in sign maintenance; and may work with the regionwide Workzone traffic control devices in setting up and maintaining a safe work zone for regionwide, statewide, and area crews. These positions are responsible for the maintenance and repair of highways and highway infrastructure to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and commerce. Highway Maintenance Worker 2s perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks and may occasionally lead a crew in the absence of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3.
