Journey to Disciplined Agile Certification

Great to be certified as CDA (Certified Disciplined Agilist) and CDAP (Certified Disciplined Agile Practitioner). With that I am officially stepped into in to the world of #CDA #DisciplinedAgile 

For all who wondering what is Disciplined Agile is….

"Disciplined Agile (DA) is a process-decision toolkit that provides straightforward guidance to help people, teams, and organizations to streamline their processes in a context-sensitive manner"

After passing PMI-ACP few months back in June 2020, I was wondering about other frameworks like SAFE, SCRUM.org and others. I was confused and disappointed because of multiple certifications. Then I got to know about DA for which I have attracted to the point below

“Distinguish yourself from other agile practitioners. Many agile practitioners like to get certified in a single method or framework and then focus on that. But you can do better than that and instead choose to hone your craft by learning a wide range of techniques from a variety of sources. The DA tool kit is a great starting point to learning about the bigger picture “

And when I got to attend the webinars from Scott W. Ambler introduced the Concept Of Creating Our Own WoW(Way of working) and context counts at the #PMIIndia#commonground series followed by the #PMIPCC #Masterclass on #DA by Sairam Chamarthi #DAChampion, I made my decision to go after DA certification.

I am very fortunate enough to get the opportunity from PMI Pearl City, Hyderabad Chapter to study this- hence, finally certified as CDA and CDAP!

Here is the road map

1. First register for DA workshop through PMI DA website(Only Authorized Training Partner for PMI will conduct this workshop)
2. Do actively participate in workshop discussions which helps you understand better on context counts and choice is good
3. Complete all exercises and activities in workshop without fail

Post workshop

1. Review of workshop handouts
2. Read the WOW book(Section 1 Mandatory)
3. Get clear understanding on agile and Lean concepts
4. Do few mock tests and validate your learning
5. Dont do over engineering on reading

Then write your exam which is 50 questions in 1 hour and 70 is pass percentage.
