JOURNEY THROUGH CANCER -A Heartfelt Journey: A husband’s Perspective on Breast Cancer”

As a part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Women@GEP group organized an interactive session with Mr. Anupam Bhattacharjee at our Mumbai Office. He shared his journey of how he went through the phases of this disease with a loved one.

This not only helped create awareness, but also is a mark of someone sharing their account of a very personal journey for the benefit of others. He also spoke about the role of the 'care-giver', do's and don'ts. While it is natural to panic, how to choose the right hospital and take at least couple of opinions. He shared updates on the advancement in cancer treatment and how this disease is curable with timely intervention, proper choice of hospital, right doctors and medication. Key message that I personally took away was 'early detection is the key to defeat the disease'.
