Now back to LinkedIn…here are three things to know this week…

Sometimes you just have to go for it: That’s the advice of Michelle Zatlyn , Co-founder of Cloudflare , on why you can’t always wait for the right time to start a business. If you’re starting or running a business, it’s good to learn from those who’ve done it before you. Here are 9 more good pieces of business advice from the founders of America’s hottest startups.

Rethinking your business plan: It’s easy to think of a business plan as something you create before you start a business, but it really is a living document you can use to guide your business through all phases of growth. It’s important to remember that you will need to adapt and twist it as your business grows and changes. You should be consulting your business plan at least one a year or when your business is experiencing big change. Here are 8 signs it’s time to update your business plan

Present yourself better: Whatever stage of business you’re in, you will eventually have to give a presentation. That’s enough to make a lot of people sweat. But you can still give a great presentation, even if you’re nervous.  One trick is to use storytelling techniques that will capture your audience without overwhelming them with details. Learn more on how to do that here. And be sure you have a good presentation tool at your disposal. There’s a lot more available than just PowerPoint. You can check them out here. And…here are a few things to avoid when giving a presentation - including my personal pet peeve: jargon.

Unlock The Tremendous Potential That Lies Within Your Business

Start designing your own Marketing and Advertising campaign(s) with the help of the right Business Coach or Marketing Consultant … The Strategic Marketing way of growing your business and brand takes the guesswork out of creating effective Marketing … It puts “tactics” in their place ... Which is to only implement what your strategies are … Most Small Business Owners use tactics as their focus, and that’s a very big mistake … BUT, I don’t blame you, it’s just that you are not a Business Coach or Marketing Consultant … You specialize in what YOU do … Strategic Marketing gives you the ability to create your own Marketing quickly, create competition-crushing Marketing, and make your business the obvious choice when it comes to buying what you sell or offer …   A well-done Business Plan has everything you will ever need as a Small Business Owner to create this type of dominating Marketing … And whether you invest in a Business Coach that knows all of this, or go it alone, the tremendous potential that lies within you and your business, has a much better chance of revealing itself, or actually happening, when a very good Business Plan is created ...
