Learn to practice mindfulness (Key to greater success)
Mindfulness is a way of life for greater success. I realized this way back when I bumped into an insightful man while traveling. The man in early 30s talked to me a lot about life. Being kicked off from a bunch of companies for not being consistent in work. He said, “My manager didn’t like the fact that I often tried to jump into everyone’s work giving my ideas and suggestions”. I worked according to my will. The fate of being thrown out of office is a bonus for him. After struggling for 7 long years from being fired to rejections, being depressed for months, he is now a successful businessman. I was glad how he was managing well in the fast pace of life despite the worries of the future. One thing being his secret to take a big step and achieve success - “mindfulness”. I was not much surprise because many times I have sensed this from many great leaders who are doing a better job and living in accordance with their personal values.

Mindfulness is most commonly practiced by being mindful of whatever we are doing. It is the basic practice of creating a focused awareness on the present moment. But beyond the buzz, what unique does a mindful person do every day to live mindfully?
In this busy world, where most us are always preoccupied with memories of the past, existing in a dream-like a state where we are not connected to the world around us, it is really difficult to stay calm amidst the madness of the hectic day. I am going to cover the practices of mindful person that keeps them motivated to have a mindful attitude towards life and to be successful in their steps.
They know when NOT to check their phones
Millennials nowadays are getting more addicted to technology and a surprising stat says that Millennials check their phone 150 times per day. And are usually distracted by it. Mindful people have set a right approach towards specific parameters. They set a proper time for checking email, for checking their phone or for every time they go on vacation. Being too much tech-addicted usually keep us from truly connecting with others and destroys our focus. Mindful interaction comes with actually giving full attention to what we are doing or to whom we are talking to.
They are lost in the flow of doing things they love
Do you love what you do or what you do is actually what you love? The whole difference comes in doing those activities that we love doing and that bring us fully alive. It could be your dream job, your passion, your hobby or anything. Mindful people living successfully are usually doing the things that they often lose themselves when doing the same. They lose their smaller self into pouring all of their love into the present moment. This helps to skyrocket more happiness and success and incorporate more flow activities into our routine.
They meditate daily
Millennials are becoming a lazy generation because they are not engaging themselves in meditation and yoga. Engaging in easy meditation has huge benefits and increases your levels of energy, inspiration and inner peace. This is generally practiced by people to bring a positive impact in their life. Even 10 minutes a day can strengthen mindfulness muscles and you will be present throughout the day. It is one of the ways to improve productivity in life, for greater work-life balance and to stay relaxed. You can meditate on yourself, or your anger, or your fear, or your joy to understand yourself better.
They feel what they’re feeling
Often people fail to understand what they are feeling and relate their emotions. Mindfulness is about acceptance of the moment and feeling whatever we feel without trying to control our feelings. Mindful people don’t try to avoid their negative emotions instead they look forward on the bright side of any situation.
So, it’s clear that at the time you are practicing mindfulness you stop talking, inside and outside. You have no associated mental discourse going inside. It is the silence that heals us, increasing our concentration. When your mindfulness becomes powerful, your concentration becomes powerful, and you get the power to achieve insight.
