Let’s Go There!

Marriott International is delighted to join an industry-wide collaboration today in launching the “Let’s Go There” campaign, a national initiative to get people thinking about future travel – whenever that may be. Research has shown that having something to look forward to brings people happiness and planning a future trip makes people feel more in control in the midst of uncertainty. We don’t know when the pandemic will end, and our lives will return to normalcy. But I’m confident that when it’s safe to do so, we will be on the road again. Until then, I encourage everyone to have some fun and at least think about that next trip. When you finally travel again, we’ll be ready to greet you.

Yes! As I travel for work I love Marriott to be at the other end (as well as the stops along the way). My father was retired from the Navy when I was born, but the travel bug never left him. He drove us around the country and took our family to visit his favorite sites. They soon became our favs. He left stress behind and we got a better version of him on the road. When my husband passed at an at 50 I got out of my funk by taking my 11 year old to Europe. We discovered more just the tourist attractions, we rebuilt our family and a new life suddenly wasn’t so frightening. Travel has a magic that transports our view of the world and we are a better version of ourselves. Love this idea and campaign! Keep your Bonvoy members in the loop! Happy trails, Arne!!
