Discover how, through good practices, we can improve the working environment and create shared value with neighbouring communities:

  1. Improving the working environment at the Teniente mine for CODELCO – Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile through a culture of recognition.
  2.  Sewing together a sustainable future in partnership with Anglo American : an action contributing to female empowerment and income generation in Conceição do Mato Dentro-MG, Brazil.

Improving the working environment at the Teniente mine for CODELCO through a culture of recognition.

In 2022, CODELCO found that its company culture needed improvements: recognition and awards were notably lacking. Thanks to our experience, we suggested to CODELCO the creation of a recognition platform, an internal tool that enables each employee to recognize and be recognized officially.

We already had this type of platform, so we were able to present all its benefits:

  • Improves the atmosphere at work.
  • Enhances the assessment of the employees' positive attitudes.
  • Acknowledges individuals who uphold the values of the company.

Thanks to the recognition platform, the number of recognitions increased by over 500% within the first few months of use. This shift has positively impacted the work environment and the mindset of employees.

At Enaex, we view our relationship with our customers as a partnership. Sharing our best practices with them is an honor. As we prioritize the value of life, we are proud to have supported CODELCO in promoting employee well-being through recognition initiatives.

Enaex's support was instrumental in the success of our project division as we were able to address employee requests, opinions, and concerns.” - Carolina Silva, GOBM Transformation Area at CODELCO.

Sewing together a sustainable future in partnership with Anglo American.

We have a strong commitment to sustainability and the development of the communities where we operate, a value shared with Anglo American. In our most recent joint effort, we directed our focus and resources to Conceição do Mato Dentro, in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

We trained women in the region in a new professional activity, fostering female empowerment, as well as improving their financial conditions.

The first women trained by the initiative learned a new trade and can now inspire other women in the region to follow the same path. In total, 10 sewing machines and 70 sewing supplies were donated, while 48 hours of professional training were provided to 10 women.

“I want to express once again my immense gratitude for the partnership, as their unconditional support was crucial in taking this important step.” - Carlos Antônio da Silva Teixeira, Senior Resettlement Analyst at Anglo American.

“For us, it is an important opportunity for our families to generate income.” -Ludmila de Oliveira Silva, Training Participant
