Meet Lisa Nyengeni, Rocla sales administrator and receptionist based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape province. She takes us through the “YES for Youth” program that she was involved in and how she was introduced to the Rocla team and the world of construction.

Lisa starts by explaining the "Youth Employment Service" program, an initiative aimed at tackling South Africa's high youth unemployment rate. The program creates job opportunities for young people by encouraging businesses to hire them for a year, offering them valuable work experience and training.

Through the "YES for Youth" program, Lisa had the chance to explore various aspects of Rocla's operations. While her role started as a sales administrator and receptionist, she soon found herself exposed to the dynamic world of construction. From interacting with clients to assisting the sales team with administrative tasks, Lisa gained insights into the intricacies of the industry.
