A Little Inspiration

A Little Inspiration

Sometimes I just need a little inspiration and motivation. There are some really great quotes that have inspired, motivated or taught me a lesson. They are all valuable.

  • Here are a few of my favorites.
  • “When someone shows you who they are believe them the first time" Maya Angelou We tend to look for the best in people even when they are not treating us right. We try to make up excuses or justify their behaviors especially if you are a people pleaser. Some of us will even blame ourselves. Instead look at it with clarity. People show their true colors.
  • "When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of distress and anxiety. If I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me and without pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me. There is a great secret here for anyone who can grasp it" ........RumiThis was a much tougher quote for me and took some time to process. When we chase anything, it always seems out of reach but if we have patience and dedication we can achieve it. Patience is not one of my top strengths but I'm choosing to work on this currently and as much as it's tough it's also rewarding.
  • "Pick and choose your battles".......C. JoyBell C.This quote saved me as a parent and still holds true later in life. You do not need to be part of every debate and argument. Pick and choose what is important to you and what brings you peace.
  • " You can't give what you don't have"........Latin PhraseThis is my motto for selfcare. How can you be there for anyone if you can't take care of yourself. If we don't take care of ourselves, we will burnout. Make yourself a priority, it will serve everyone around you.
