Almi is a Swedish state-owned company that offers loans to help businesses develop and grow. These loans complement other financing sources like banks. Here is an overview of the loan opportunities and amounts available.

Business loans

Almi provides loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in all industries. These loans help businesses with up to 250 employees finance development projects, investments, and working capital. Loan amounts range from USD 25,000 to USD 500,000.

Growth loans

The Growth loan targets innovative SMEs needing capital for growth and profitability. It can be used for investments or working capital, with favorable terms like amortization-free periods and lower interest rates. Loan amounts typically range from USD 50,000 to USD 1,000,000.

Green loans

For companies aiming for a green transition, Almi offers Green loans. These loans support sustainable investments that align with EU environmental goals. Loan amounts range from SEK 300,000 to SEK 5,000,000.

Eligibility and ownership

Almi loans are available to businesses with foreign owners. If the responsible person in the company resides in Sweden and meets the residency requirements, they can apply for loans, even if some shareholders are from other countries. This ensures businesses with international ties can access funding.
